It has been enhancing our way of living and enabling progress in various sectors continuously, and is predicted to have profound impacts on all businesses in the coming years. Did you know that in 2012, 10% of cars were connected to the internet and it’s estimated that by 2020, about 90% of cars will be internet connected?

According to PwC research, business executives of different companies are eager to adapt Artificial Intelligence (AI) in near future to decrease menial and repetitive tasks like timesheets (78%), scheduling (79%), and paperwork (82%). Here’s another one – by 2020, you might be among 100 million customers shopping in augmented reality, as predicted by Gartner!

How crazy is that?

The major factor of technology is creating change and providing ways in which that change impacts society and businesses. Many individuals experience a future shock element when the changes in technology happen rapidly that they are unable to handle or tolerate that change, as well as its consequences.

For instance, the elder generation experienced future shock when they began dealing with the internet, tablets, and smartphones. Some even resisted this change by refusing to use advanced technologies in their lifestyle even if it meant making their lives easier.

Nevertheless, the fact remains that the evolution of technology has resulted in its adaptation by all sectors of businesses. Today’s information age has witnessed drastic progress and changes in almost every field thanks to technology. This advancement in technology has made its way to various types of technology.
